Kapri Offline RF

Time and attendance control and access control terminal by RFID and mobile.

Time and attendance control and access control terminal by RFID (cards, bracelets and keyfobs) and mobile.

We designed Kapri for:

  • Access control: sports centers, gyms, paddle tennis courts, companies, restricted areas, fairs and congresses and alike.
  • Time and attendance control

Features

• Kapri operates offline:

Kapri manages all the accesses from the device itself and can work without Internet connection and its maximum capacity is 5.000 users.

Deferred user registration: the user can introduce their ID number and PIN directly at the terminal to complete the registration process autonomously, there is no need to go to the admin’s office in person. This saves time and makes this process more comfortable for both the user and also for the administrator.

• Mifare/Desfire reader and BLE reader

The device and identify users via 125kHz or Mifare/Desfire (it can read the UID and the memory sectors of the card), depending on the model.

In case of the model that incorporates BLE, users can identify themselves via virtual cards that are hosted on their mobile phones.

• Graphic IPS screen 2.4” and touch keyboard

Kapri’s screen has excellent visibility from all angles. It also has a capacitive keyboard with 4 keys and a beeper.

• 3 relays and 4 digital inputs

The 3 relays allow activating electric locks, turnstiles, barriers, alarms, among others.

The 4 digital inputs allow monitoring for example the state of the door sensors, limit switches, etc. The device has an anti-tamper sensor that detects if somebody manipulates it.

• Ethernet and wifi (optional)

The device can be connected by Ethernet and can communicate with the application by JSON objects. You can easily integrate the device and your preferred programming language or operating system.

Kapri is also available in a version that incorporates Wifi.

• CLOUD Procotol: direct connectivity with the cloud

For Web Extranet solutions this is the recommended option of communication, mainly because in these environments it is usually not allowed for the application in the cloud to initiate a connection with the devices. So in this case, only the devices can connect to the cloud. Kapri initiates the communication and when an event is produced, like for example, a device has read a card, it sends a POST command to the application/API Server to the cloud. As a response, the application sends a set of commands to execute to the device, for example, to show messages on the screen or activate a relay to allow access.

The main characteristics of the Cloud protocol are:

– Kapri (the device) initiates all the communications
– The communication is always secure when the cloud uses HTTPS protocol
– It does not require to install drivers nor .DLLs or services…

• Integration module

Kimaldi Kapri is available as a module for integration to install in turnstiles, barriers, and doors, among others.
